Need the Motivation To Get Healthy? This Might Just Be For You!

I am so excited about 2023. This could be my best year yet, and it will be the same for you. There is something so refreshing about the newness surrounding me, and I am determined to have a far more positive outlook on life, and so should you.

I am pretty sure that each of us has our own goals for the year, but just in case one of them is about making a positive lifestyle change, I want to support you along this journey by sharing these challenges that you can participate in to get you started and keep you motivated. So whether your goal is to get fit, eat better, or both, you will find this exciting and valuable.

So let’s get into it. The challenge that I want to recommend to you is the Daniel’s Health Challenge. Suppose you have ever read the bible, specifically the book of Daniel. In that case, you are familiar with the story of Daniel, who was taken captive along with several other Hebrew boys after King Nebuchadnezzar besieged Jerusalem. They were some of Isreal’s finest, “from the royal family and the nobility; young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace.” King Nebuchadnezzar took the boys to Babylon, where they were taught the language and literature of the Babylonians. Their training would last three years, and then they would enter the King’s service. You should know that these boys were faithful to God and devoted to honoring Him in all they did. So when the King assigned them daily food and wine from his table, Daniel decided not to partake and asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself. Of course, the chief official feared the repercussions if they did not meet the King’s standard. However, God favored Daniel and caused the guard to have compassion toward him. Therefore, when Daniel asked him to give them vegetables and water for ten days and then compared them to those who ate the King’s food, he obliged. To make a long story short, Daniel and the three Hebrew boys looked far healthier than the others who ate the King’s food after ten days. As a result, all the others were given Daniels’s diet to eat. See Daniel Chapter One for the full story, in case you have not read it.

So this is how this challenge came to be. For ten days, you will challenge yourself to eat only plantbased whole foods. Some have even incorporated exercise as well. I can assure you that if you should do this, you will see great results. There are two different challenges, so feel free to join the one that interests you most, or you can do both if you are inclined.
