Tuesday is slowly becoming a day to look forward to lately. Why? Because it’s time for another Summer Cooling post for you to enjoy and keep refresh during the hot weather. If you are a pineapple lover like myself, this week’s recipe/smoothie is just for you. Pineapples are delicious, colorful, and have tremendous health benefits such as :
Its loaded with nutrients ( Vitamin C, Fiber, Folate, Potassium, Protein, Fats, Vitamin B6) and so much more.
They contain enzymes that fights off disease.
Pineapples also assist with digestion and may reduce the risk of cancer.
See the link for additional information on the benefits of pineapples https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/benefits-of-pineapple.
If you are still contemplating whether or not pineapple should become a regular part of your diet, then I will have you know that there is a saying that pineapple does wonders to the private parts. No, while there is no actual scientific study as far as I have read to substantiate the validity of this statement, it is considered not to be entirely false. However, the “science community has confirmed that eating certain groups of foods will affect the natural pH (the acidity or alkalinity of a liquid solution) and smell of your bodily secretions.” But let’s face it, if our bodily secretions can smell “pineapplely,” then it doesn’t hurt to consume away, right!!!!
For this delicious and rich smoothie I used:
1/2 of a whole pineapple
1/3 cups coconut water
4 medjool dates
2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
small piece of ginger
and 1/2 ripe banana
After I poured it into my mason jar, I added mint leave and allowed it to flavor my smoothie a little before drinking. It was yummilicious!!!!
Enjoy!!
