The Last Harvest

I enjoyed gardening this past summer. It was year three of growing food on my deck and the most that I have ever reaped. I was also excited that I was able to grow grapes, raspberries, and blackberries this season. Unfortunately, the season has to end, but I am already looking forward to greater yields next summer. I am also keeping my fingers crossed to have more significant land space to grow so much more.

Today I harvested the last of my herbs. These were thyme, mint, basil, cilantro, and rosemary. I also got a few tomatoes and white potatoes. I still have peppers growing and hoping that they will mature well before it gets much colder. There is also a pumpkin growing in my garden.

Nutrition is an essential part of any healthy lifestyle. Therefore, if you can grow even a tiny amount of your food, do so. Not only are you ensuring that you are producing and eating healthy fruits and vegetables, but you are saving money, and gardening can be therapeutic as well.

I am looking forward to learning what you will be growing next year—many Blessings from Itz Holistically Wholesome and Happy Fall.
