Everyone today seems to have the solution for a better life, don’t they?
“Become financially independent!”
“Make thousands from home!”
“Lose weight fast!”
“Fix your marriage in three steps!”
And while some of these ideas may hold a little truth, many are contradictory, confusing, or built on marketing tactics that leave us wondering: What’s real? What’s hype? Some people genuinely want to help, but others… well, there’s usually a catch.
What I’m sharing today has no catch.
No subscription.
No gimmick.
No quick fix.
Just truth, rooted in God’s Word, offered freely by the One who created us. Besides, who better to guide our health than our Manufacturer and Designer?
These principles aren’t fads. They require intention, patience, and consistency, and if you stick with them, they will transform your life in meaningful, and lasting ways.
For more than 12 years, my family and I have been practicing these natural remedies. We’re still growing in some areas, but even with our imperfections, the difference in our lives has been undeniable. To God be the glory.
Today, I want to share this gift with you.
These eight natural remedies, often called NEWSTART, The Eight Natural Doctors, or The Eight Laws of Health are God’s simple, powerful tools for healing and restoration. They are practical, accessible, and life-changing.
Let’s dive in.

- Nutrition
Proper nutrition plays a central role in our health. Many of today’s health challenges are linked to poor eating habits. Whole, unprocessed foods nourish the body and strengthen the immune system. God made them and place them in nature for us. To fuel and sustain. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
- Exercise
Movement is essential. God designed our bodies to move. Even a simple 30‑minute walk each day can improve your health and uplift your spirit. “But I discipline my body and keep it under control…”— 1 Corinthians 9:27
- Water
Water is life. A large portion of the human body is made of water, and every system depends on it. A helpful guideline is to drink about half your body weight in ounces daily. “He… will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.” — Isaiah 49:10
- Sunshine
The sun is our friend. Early morning sunlight boosts vitamin D, lifts your mood, and supports overall wellness. “The sun will not harm you by day…” — Psalm 121:6
- Air
Fresh air is a gift. Spend time in nature, breathe deeply, and take in God’s creation. It refreshes the lungs, calms the mind, and restores the soul. “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”—Job 33:4
- Rest
Rest is not optional; it’s essential. Poor sleep is linked to many health issues. Prioritize rest as an act of stewardship. “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.” — Psalm 4:8
- Temperance (Self-Control)
We live in a world of excess. Supersized everything. But God calls us to moderation and balance. “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.” — Proverbs 25:28
- Trust in God
This is the foundation. Lean on your Creator. Believe His promises. Follow His blueprint. These natural remedies work best when anchored in faith. When we obey, we are glorifying God. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
Be well and be blessed.
