Hubby’s BBQ VEGAN FRANKS

Happy Thursday, my fellow readers, subscribers, and followers. Thanks for making Itz Holistically Wholesome a part of your lives. I wish you all forever blessings and excellent health. If you are new to my blog or just visiting, welcome. Today, I want to share one of my husband’s favorite meals to make with you. Trust me when I say that there is not much because he avoids the kitchen like the fifth plague. My husband does not like to cook, so on those seldom occasions that he gets into the kitchen well, I am excited because I love a man who loves to cook and does so very well. Last weekend, I asked him to prepare his famous mouth-watering BBQ Vegan franks because we love it so much and the taste is out of this world. He does a terrific job whenever he prepares this meal which he served with bread and veggies in the form of a sandwich. The kids love it just as much as I do as well.

The ingredients he used to prepare this dish are Vegan/plant-based Loma Linda’s Big Franks, Linketts or Lightlife Smart Dogs, barbeque sauce, onion, garlic, and spices. So if you are into plant-based food, definitely try these two brands; they taste delicious. First, he cuts the franks into small pieces and sets them aside while he sauteed onions, garlic, and spice on low heat until they are moderately brown. Next, add the barbeque sauce and franks, stir all the ingredients together, and stay on low heat until the sauce is thickened and has a slight burn.

Once cooked, the BBQ franks are used to make sandwiches. I added vegetables like tomato, lettuce, spinach, avocado, vegan cheese mayonnaise, and red onions for a more filling and nutritious. These sides are optional, so feel free to add your favorites. Either way, you will enjoy it very much.

This meal can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
