Morning Strength: A Simple Tea, A Centered Body, A Guided Spirit

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God” (Romans 8:14).

I started my morning with devotion, because connecting with God first sets the tone for everything else. It softens my spirit, clears my mind, and creates a smooth, steady flow for my entire day. Once I’m anchored in Him, the rest of my choices feel guided, not forced.

I let my spirit, and yes, my spirit guide me towards what my body needed. Before the day rushed in, I reached for a warm cup of tea made with lemon, cinnamon, clove, and ginger. Nothing fancy. Just a few of nature’s very best, steeped with intention.

As I sipped, I felt each ingredient doing its quiet work:

Lemon

  • Brightens the system and supports gentle cleansing
  • Offers a refreshing lift that wakes up the mind
  • Rich in vitamin C, helping the body feel fortified

Cinnamon

  • Brings warmth and comfort
  • Supports healthy blood sugar balance
  • Naturally soothing to the digestive system

Clove

  • Known for its grounding, comforting aroma
  • Supports oral and digestive wellness
  • Carries natural antioxidant properties

Ginger

  • Awakens circulation and brings heat to the body
  • Supports digestion and eases tension
  • A classic go-to for seasonal and overall wellness

Together, they created a cup that felt like a well-needed embrace, warm, clarifying, and steadying.

Moving My Body With Intention

After my tea, I leaned into movement.
Sixteen minutes of strength training with dumbbells; slow, controlled, intentional.
Then forty minutes on the treadmill, letting my breath find its rhythm and my thoughts settle into gratitude.

Not perfection. Not pressure. Just presence.

Movement is ministry too. It’s a way of saying,
“Lord, thank You for this body. Help me steward it well today.”

A Gentle Reminder for You

Your wellness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s a warm cup of tea, a few minutes of strength, a walk or run that clears the mind, and a willingness to listen to what your spirit is whispering.

Be well and be blessed.

With love and purpose,
