Be Well Wednesday

Howdy! I have some good news. Itz Holistically Wholesome is proud to announce that we will be starting a “Be Well Wednesday Series. This means that you can expect features such as recipes, natural remedies and so much more within the realm of whole foods plantbased lifestyle.

As such the usual blog date will change from Tuesdays to Mondays. That means you can now expect two posts each week: Mondays & Wednesdays.

To kick start this exciting initiative, I will begin with A Natural Remedy Series that focuses on “ Flu Fighters from My Kitchen ” for Families Rooted in Love, Healing, and Homegrown Wisdom

Why? Because Flu season is here! That means the sniffles are back. The coughs, the crankiness, the late-night tea runs, and for some hours in the ER. And this is definitely not a celebration but an acknowledgment of something that is, and we need to be prepared.

In our home, the flu season doesn’t mean panic and it does not have to be that way in your home either. It means preparation. It means pulling out the ginger, the garlic, the honey, the juicer, the elderberry syrup, and other goodies from nature and our gardens, along with unceasing prayers whispered over simmering pots.

If you are new here, I’m Tomika, a Plantbased mother, and faith-rooted, lifestyle advocate. I’ve walked through grief, reinvention, and the kind of motherhood that teaches you to listen to your body, and your children’s coughs like they’re sacred songs. And this season, I’m sharing the remedies that have carried my family especially my children Aliyah, Emmah-Rose, and Jedidiah, through the sniffles, the fevers, and the long nights.

These are not just recipes. They are practical solutions. They are stories. They are the ways we have learned to heal with what God gave us: plants, patience, prayer and presence.

Each week, I’ll post a new remedy, tip, or trick that’s worked for our family. From immune-boosting juices, “cold & cough solutions, to bedtime oils, from herbal teas to mindset shifts. This series is a love letter to wellness, motherhood, and faith-rooted care. It is a gift to every mama who have ever stirred soup with one hand while holding a sick, cranky child with the other, who have endured long sleepless nights caring for her loved ones or long, frustrating hours in the ER. It is for the families who believe that healing can come from the garden, the pantry, the heart and best of all from God.

So grab your favorite mug, wrap yourself in a blanket, and join me every Wednesday for Be Well Wednesday.
